Why B3

B3 is already deep in Workers, Durable Objects, and the Agents SDK — the exact primitives this needs.
Durable execution is where naive agent frameworks fall apart. Solving it is defensible.
Edge-native agents are cheap to run and close to users, a structural cost and latency edge.

Why now

Everyone is building agents, and almost all of them lose state on crash, double-fire on retry, or cannot pause for a human. Durable orchestration is the missing layer, and Cloudflare's platform is unusually suited to provide it.

What it could be

A framework or hosted service for long-running, resumable agent workflows.
Built-in retries, scheduling, and durable state on Durable Objects.
Human-in-the-loop pauses and approvals as first-class steps.
Observability into agent runs: what fired, what failed, what cost.

Open questions before it is real

Is this a product or a thin wrapper over what the Agents SDK already gives for free?
How crowded is the durable-agent space (Temporal, Inngest, LangGraph, Cloudflare itself)?
Who is the buyer, and are they on Cloudflare already or being asked to migrate?
Can a small team keep pace with a category moving this fast?

This is a proposal, not a plan. No research pass has run on it yet. To promote it to a full brief with a market read, competitor scan, and a verdict — the way Estate Ops was done — say the word and it moves up the board.
