Six ideas went on this board. Research killed four. What survived is one plan in two stages: digitise estates first, then take the same field-to-paper solution to businesses that run many branches — clothing chains, food and beverage, and beyond. Build once, reuse everywhere.

Offline-first field software for Sri Lanka's tea, rubber, and coconut estates. Muster to wages, and audit-ready compliance. Replace the paper checkroll.

Status: Targets ready. Ten estates ranked, four group calls cover eight companies, and Bogawantalawa has an ERP tender out right now.

Vertical Ops — Branch Businesses

The same solution, recycled: attendance, daily records, stock and cash evidence, and compliance files for chains with 10–50 branches. One build for a clothing chain works for every clothing chain. Then food and beverage. Then any branch business.

Status: Targets ready. Twenty chains ranked — Dinemore first (they just bought 14 locations and can't see any of them).

What happens next

From research to pitches.

The plan

  • Find the targets. ~10 estates and ~20 branch chains that still run on paper. Named, ranked, with the decision-maker for each.
  • Name their problem. For each target: what paper is costing them today — wage errors, audit scrambles, missing branch visibility, EPF deadlines.
  • Pitch the gap hard. "You don't have this. You need it." One page per segment, with proof.

Why this order

  • Estates prove it. The hardest field conditions — offline, low literacy, strict audits. Win here and everything easier follows.
  • Branches scale it. A chain with 20 branches is 20 copies of the same problem. Sell once, deploy twenty times.
  • The deadline helps. Digital EPF (Dec 2025) makes electronic payroll filing mandatory for every employer. Paper shops now have a reason to move.
